To give your car the showroom shine and to protect the color of the paint you need to give it a coat of car wax. Wax can be rubbed on and rubbed off the car and because it does not bond with the paint it is easier to use than a sealant. Waxing a light colored car gives it a better sheen than dark colored cars. Spots and bird droppings are easily removed when the car has a coat of car wax. Waxing the car every three months or at least twice a year will keeping the car surface in perfect condition. A good car wax should be non abrasive for an even and perfect finish. Coating the surface of the car with car wax keeps it conditioned increases its value for resale and makes its owner car proud.

Is there much plastic on your car? Porous, matte plastic, especially dark plastic, reacts badly with some car waxes and acquires a conspicuous residue that may take special cleaners to remove. If plastic is a prominent part of your car’s exterior, choose a wax that is noted for being compatible with plastic.
How long do you want each application of car wax to last, and how much time are you willing to invest in waxing? Consumer Reports performed a comparison test and found that liquid waxes were the most durable and the best at cleaning. However, because they took extra time to spread evenly and without streaking, they took the longest to apply. Spray on waxes were the least durable and did the worst job at cleaning, but they were also the quickest and easiest to apply.

A car is a way to get around on the East Coast. Even if you do not pimp out your car and just use it to get around in California, the sun can eat away at your car pretty quickly. Car wax is, therefore, a necessity there to protect your car. As my dad would say, waxing your car will help it depreciate less because it keeps the exterior looking fantastic.
How do you know when it is time to wax your car? Most car experts say it depends on what kind of car wax you use and how flawless you want your car to look.

Car polish is a must have product in your car care inventory. A good car polish keeps your car looking new and shiny. Other than appearance, car polish functions as paint protection and prevent premature failure of car paint. Over time, dust, grime, grease, oil and bird hits accumulate on the exterior paint of a car. Just washing your car is not sufficient as most of these contaminants have acids and adhesive agents in them which stick to the car paint and slowly eat through the protective layer of paint exposing bare metal.

Dip your dirty wash mitt in a separate rinse container before you stick it back in the container with the sudsy water. Thoroughly wash all areas where salt and other roadside accumulations may be. Many experts say to use one of those power sprayers a couple times a year. Just do not hold it too close to the paint. I, personally, prefer the at home method of car washing and avoid those power things.
